August Already!!

OK.. Yes I am like the worst blogger... and yes... it's August already - has been for a few weeks now. September is looming and all is go for then. First we move into our new house!! John, Amelia's and my FIRST house that is ours, that we can paint and decorate however we wish, put as many holes in the wall for new pictures as we want... SO excited!! Going to look for paint this week to paint my girls room - all by myself.... good luck to you I hear you say! I will post some pics of our little house - its like 50 yrs young and needs a bit of tlc but I love it!! Loved it along time ago when it was someone elses house.... might call it Amelia's White Gables... or something else......

Our new little house!

Enough room to swing a few cats!

The Pip is 3 on the 19th September... where has the time gone! She is having a princess party with 10 of her friends in our new back yard... mum can't wait - LOVE a good party - even if it is full of 3 yr olds in pretty princess dresses - ahhh the perks of having a girl. Going back a bit... July was good - we went on a family trip to the States to see Crazy Aunt Tracey from Disneyland and Cousin Ashleigh - the little Pip didn't do so good on the way over with very high temps and vomiting... all good in a small enclosed place!! She took about four days to get over it all...." I want to go home...." We thought about it - I can tell you. Once she took on the sights of Disneyland and all her glory ... home was soon forgotten. Loved every moment of it... seeing Disneyland from a 2 and a half year olds perspective was amazing.... her face, her expressions, her language, her actions... was priceless.

Favourite ride was Alice in Wonderland and the teacups, DID NOT like Pinocchio and proceeded to inform all that she did not like the "nocchio ride" - She loved seeing the princesses and mickey and donald - we stayed late and watched the fantastic Fireworks display twice!! Amelia clapped and cheered with the thousands of people - such an amazing experience for all of us!! (Except when Amelia decided to pop her head thru the rails at the Dumbo ride! - Thankfully John is soooo strong!) fan fan ohh my hero.
We also went to Sea World and had a ball - Amelia loved the water area and giggled and ran and got sooo wet. She chased Shamo and the penguins (dressed up) and had an all out ball. It was sticky and hot but we loved it as it was windy, rainy and bitterly cold at home!
Had such a wonderful time visiting with family and friends. We miss our Crazy Aunt Tracey and Ashleigh and can't wait to see them again.... Christmas next year - fingers crossed.

So all in all - it's August and we are humming along... each day a blessing and each night without a child screaming "MUM!!" an even bigger blessing.

Roll on September

A little bit of this and a little bit of that...

It was a cold, wet and windy night when P1, P2 and two very good friends bundled up to go and watch the Kiwis against the Kangaroos ( for those who have no idea what I am talking about - its the New Zealanders against the Australians in a friendly game of Rugby league) if you still have no idea what I am talking about them just scroll down till you find something that you know about.
It was promising to be a great game full of action and a bit of good old biffing!! The kiwis had trounced the Aussies in the first game and we were well on our way to another victory at half time. But during the time it took me to text my sister to see how the Pip was doing the darn Aussies had scored three runaway tries! Needless to say my interest in the game somewhat whithered and I decided that the Pringles and Hershey chocolate was more to my liking! We lost but boy it was a good game.

Had a visit from the cousins a couple of weeks ago. Haven't seen two of them in about 30 yrs and the other one wasn't even born! It was great catching up and Mum your brother wants his birthday card!!

Took Pip on a LONG walk around the beach 2 weekends ago. Stunning day but she was not in the mood to walk around the beach she just wanted to search EVERY rockpool so she could squish those sea aneomes. So after we managed to pry her away from them her focus was then taken by every puddle, big or small it did not matter, that we saw along the way. She splashed and splished and splashed some more. We then got wise and popped her into the stroller until the wheel broke on the rocks. Thank goodness it was sunny cause it would have been a bad day!
We stopped of at the local cafe for a well deserved coffee, fluffy and pee break.
As you can see in this pic, Pip LOVES her fluffeeeee.

We spotted a cat on the way home and had to play with it for 25 mins!

P2 had a health scare and had to have a nasty biopsy done but all is clear so yah! God is good.

I am going to add some pics of the family for good measure as I am horrendously bad at sending them.

Ta ta for now.

This is the aunt, the uncle, the three boy cousins
and the oldest cousins fiancee - lovely group
of people :)

The First and hopefully not the last...

Hello possums. Welcome to the Peachey Family's new hobby... well just Peachey No. 2 at the moment.
Yes our family is made up of two big Peachey's and a little pip of a Peachey. Dad is Peachey No. 1 Mum is Peachey No. 2 and well we all know and love Peachey 3. or Pip as she is affectionately known.
We thought this would be a good idea to get our highly exciting news out to our friends and family all over this vast world. And since we are all useless at writing letters or phoning (oh London one) then maybe the wide world of the net will give us better hope. Plus Peachey 2 likes to play!
So today is the first of hopefully many updates on how the Peachey family is doing. Feel free, family and friends to drop your helpful comments our way. I am sure you will and this way you don't have to go down to the post office and mail a letter.
And the other advantage of this little tool is that we can send photos to you and hopefully video clips of what we are all doing down here. That is when I figure out how to do that - I may need to get in Peachey 1 for that.
Ok news.... Pip is sick. Could be the Mother and fathers fault for taking her to the beach in the rain and wind in hopes that she would run herself wild and sleep thru the night - no, didn't happen and now has a cough and snot for Africa! She is darn cute thou, talking non stop just like her father and finishes all of mum's sentences - she is into Thomas the tank engine, anything to do with Parks especially swings (we have one in the back yard and would have us push her all day is she could). She can now open the doors so we have had to take the door handle off her side of the door so she wont keep coming out - sorry folks its either that or tie her to the bed.
She loves the beach and we have been going nearly everyday this week, running, chasing dogs and balls and frisbees, making and destroying sandcastles, and searching for crabs and swimming in puddles. Oh the fun we have when we are two!!
Peachey 1 is very busy with work - he's a real boss now with some people working for him - since he could never boss me around he's feeling quite manly now!
Peachey 2 is tired - but least I sleep better on my NEW very soft and spongy bed - thank you Peachey 1. We have been advised by the doctor to have a weeks break WITHOUT the Pip - so roll on Hawaii or the Bahamas (or anywhere warm and without hurricanes!)
Well this is a long post - I am going to try and work out how to put a pic on it. Here goes.
Take care all and we all love you - really.... mean it.... (stolen of Aunt T)
